Rossbeigh

Taking the road to Rossbeigh Strand the Kerry Way crosses over the River Behy and then departs from the road at a picnic area rising steeply to take in the first of three peaks of Rossbeigh Hill. The beautiful view at this point extends across the Dingle Bay to the Dingle Peninsula. Eventually the trail comes back down to a lower altitude and joins a small road which crosses the main Ring of Kerry road. The Walking Trail climbs up the slopes of Drung Hill and follows an old coach road. At a height of 200m the path stays with the contours of the hill with uninterrupted views to the Atlantic Ocean. After passing a coniferous plantation follow the path towards the church at Foilmore. Before reaching the church the trails turns to the south and crosses River Ferta. At Teeraha, the Kerry Way forks in two with a 6 km track leading to Cahersiveen.

Cahirciveen to Waterville (30 kms):
Rejoin the Kerry Way at Teeraha. The trail leads up along a ridge of small hills and gradually up to some higher peaks of over 300 metres.  Descending again the trail leads along minor roads to Mastergeehy and on towards Coomduff. At this point the Kerry Way once again splits into two. Seven kilometres to the south-west is the end of the stage at Waterville.  The pretty coastal section of the Kerry Way meets up again with the other fork outside Caherdaniel and can also be accomplished as a loop walk from Waterville  (30kms)
Waterville has good bus connections back to Killarney.
